For the last 10 years or so, ideas for a stories have captivated me, ruminating until I have to translate them into words. I started writing with poetry in my teenage years as an outlet to my mental and emotional angst. Then I decided I wanted to write a book, until that idea was shot down by my Father, claiming it would be best to choose a career with financial security.
So I did.

Since 2006, my professional life has been dedicated to Environmental Management. It's a field that requires me to live in my left brain; and along with becoming a mother and adulting, writing became the backdrop to my life. Over the years, I've merely squeezed in the time to write, read, and research my craft. Then one day, I realized my favorite part of my job was having creative authority read the environmental regulations, interpret them and create a resource to support and train my team in implementing those regulations. Ironically, the the career I chose for financial security brought me closer to what I have always loved to do. Write.

As of now, the day I published this website, my writing has not birthed any published work. While becoming a published author has always been a dream, I've come to realize a dream is not the same as a passion. A dream is a spark inspiring you to act now or it will fade away, but with passion it’s always there, you can’t ignore it, it haunts you, hypnotizes you until you do it. My dream can’t ever exist if I stop writing. Good or bad, a finished story or infinite drafts, my writing has become a mandatory practice.
